Ms. Herring maintains all information on each resident needed to keep our program in compliance with residency program rules. She has dedicated her distinguished career to GME and has over 18 years of professional experience in GME administration. She served for 7 years as a Transitional Year program coordinator and has served for the past 11 years as an Emergency Medicine residency coordinator. Ms. Herring has been awarded numerous distinctions as an Emergency Medicine residency coordinator, including the 2011 National EMRA Residency Coordinator of the Year Award.

Ms. Soto supports the ED faculty and is another extremely talented and valuable individual who has served for 4 years in medical education administration. Ms. Soto is the liaison between Emergency Medicine and the University of Texas School of Medicine. Additionally, she is the administrator for all Emergency Medicine academic endeavors, to include all research and scholarly activities of the faculty, all medical student didactics and clinical education, and all off-service resident GME.
