Biosketch: Dr. Patel is a member of the Advisory Board for http://www.ObesityHelp.com, a website offering hope and help for those struggling with obesity. Author of over 25 peer-reviewed articles in surgical journals; presenter of groundbreaking bariatric and surgical procedures at over 15 international and national meetings; former guest editor for the Surgical Clinics of North America. Along with the rest of the UT Medicine bariatric surgery team, Dr. Patel is committed to maintaining a superior standard of care recognized on both regional and national levels. By doing so, he promotes healthy competition, raises standard of care levels, and helps encourage the use of breakthroughs in bariatric procedures worldwide.
