Surgery Missions and Goals

MISSION:


Providing medical education and training to medical students and physicians at all career levels, with special commitment to training surgeons with ethnic backgrounds consonant with the population of Texas.

MISSION:


Conducting biomedical and other health-related research into surgical problems and diseases, specifically those prevalent in Texas. These problems include but are not limited to trauma, cancer, biliary tract conditions, vascular, cardiovascular, prostate/urology, plastic surgery, and organ transplantation.
