Becky Doran, MD, Clinical Assistant Professor (Emergency Medicine)
Becky Doran, MD, earned her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San
Antonio Medical School in 2002. While attending she was awarded the honor of Outstanding Senior
Student of the Year by the Texas College of Emergency Physicians. Prior to entering medical school, she
received her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1998 from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. After
earning her Medical Degree, she completed an Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics Combined
Residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in 2007 and where she served as Chief Resident
from 2005-2007. Subsequently Dr. Doran was appointed as an Assistant Professor for the Indiana
University School of Medicine in both the Departments of Emergency Medicine and the Department of
Pediatrics. During her time in Indiana she served as clinical faculty for the Wishard Hospital and Riley
Hospital for Children Emergency Departments, two busy level one trauma centers. Dr. Doran holds
current boards certifications from both the American Board of Emergency Medicine and American
Board of Pediatrics. She joins the Department of Surgery in December 2009 as the Director for the
section of Pediatric Emergency Medicine.

Gregory Beelek, Faculty Associate (Emergency Medicine)
PA Beelek received his Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of
Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE in 2000. He received his Masters in 2005 from the University of
Nebraska also. In 2000, he was an Honors Graduate from the Interservice Physician Assistant
Program. He has received numerous military awards and is certified by the National Commission of
Certification of Physician Assistants. PA Beelek joined the Division of Emergency Medicine November

Roberto Hennessy, MD, Assistant Clinical Instructor (Emergency Medicine)
Dr. Hennessy received his degree from The University of Texas Medical School at Houston
in July 2003 and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Brooke Army
Medical Center in San Antonio in July 2006. He received a B.S. in
Aerospace Engineering in 1989 from the United States Military Academy
from West Point, New York. Dr. Hennessy has earned numerous military
awards and is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He

Craig Manifold, DO, Assistant Professor (Emergency Medicine)
Dr. Manifold received his DO in 1993 from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in
Philadelphia, PA. He also received his BA in Physiology at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale,
Carbondale, IL in 1989. His Residency in Emergency Medicine was done in 1997 through Joint Military
Medical Center Emergency Medicine Residency at San Antonio, TX. Dr. Manifold joined the
