Endocrine surgery
Division of General and Laparoendoscopic Surgery
Endocrine surgery is an emerging 'high-tech' subspecialty treating disorders of the thyroid, parathyroids, adrenals, endocrine disorders of the pancreas (insulinoma, gastrinoma, non-functioning pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors), and GI carcinoid tumors. Families with genetic syndromes, such as Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia (MEN) and Von Hipple Lindau (VHL), are followed and treated by Endocrine surgeons.
