Medical Students - Opportunities in surgical research


The Department of Surgery strongly supports the medical student research programs available through our university. Medical students are encouraged to consider participation; stipends are available, and we'll be glad to help you find a mentor. Medical School Research Program — The Medical Dean's office provides funds to support med students who are engaged in or wish to be engaged in research projects here the the UT Health Science Center San Antonio. Stipends are awarded for 4-8 weeks of full time research, in an amount equivalent to $250 a week.
