Jayson Aydelotte, MD

Dr. Aydelotte received his medical degree from UTHSCSA in 1998. He completed a residency in General Surgery and fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at Brooke Army Medical Center in 2006. He has been a staff surgeon in General Surgery and Surgical Critical care at Walter Reed Army Medical Center where he was the Surgical Director of the SICU and Chief of Trauma Surgery. Dr. Aydelotte was a trauma surgeon at the 28th Combat Support hospital in Baghdad, Iraq in 2007 and was the Chief of Surgery for the 47th Combat Support Hospital in Iraq in 2009. Dr. Aydelotte is board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. He separated from the Army in April of 2011 and joined the faculty of the Division of Trauma in May. Dr. Aydelotte's interests include motorcycle-associated injury prevention, new product development, and surgeon physical fitness.

Dr. Venticinque graduated from the University Of Florida College Of Medicine in 1994, completed his internship in General Surgery at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio in 1995 which was followed there by a residency in Anesthesiology and a fellowship in Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine. In 1999 he was assigned to Wilford Hall Medical Center where he served as the Program Director of the Anesthesia Critical Care fellowship. He is now faculty at UTHSCSA and is Co- director of the surgical Intensive care unit at the Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital. Dr. Venticinque is an anesthesiology oral board examiner. He is Board certified in Anesthesiology and Anesthesiology Critical Care. His interests include austere medical care, transesophageal echocardiography, resuscitation, and airway management.

COL Grathwohl graduated from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences 1991, completed his medical residency at Madigan Army Medical Center 1991-1994 and a Pulmonary Critical Care Fellowship at Madigan Army Medical Center/University of Washington 1994-1997. He was assigned to Fort Rucker, Alabama with duty at Keesler Air Force Base 1997-1999 and Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center 1999-2000. COL Grathwohl subsequently completed his Anesthesiology residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in 2003. He is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Anesthesiology. His research interest includes apneic oxygenation, oxygen conservation, total intravenous anesthesia and resuscitation injury.
